When I saw this secret it made me feel all funny on the inside, because I've been trying to figure out if I love my best friend or if I just love the idea of it...
Is it because we are so close?
Is it because we feel so comfortable in our own skin together?
Is it because we can talk for over 10hours and still have more to say?
Is it because we both love to pull childish pranks and play dares?
Is it because we would die for each other?
HOW the heck am I suppose to know if I love him, more than a friend?

How do can you tell if you love someone...or just the notion of loving someone?
that sounds like love to me. i believe that love is sharing, wanting the best for someone, and growing together. add a dash of sex appeal to that, and you have romantic love. add making a commitment (spoken or unspoken) to that, and you have long-term, deep, wonderful love. although you can't always choose who you are attracted to, i think you can choose who you give your love to, and it sounds like you've given your love to this person. let it make you happy!

ReplyDeleteI can't really say if that is romantical love, because I have a best friend that is a boy and he is the best person ever and I can talk to him for a thousand hours and never run out of anything to say. But I would never dare to let our amazing friendship become romantic, because I wouldn't want anything to ever ruin our friendship. I think that it could either be a huge mistake or the best thing ever, but I wouldn't take the risk :)

ReplyDeletei was in your situation, and i did love him & turns out he loved me too. at first it seems that you only ever fall in love with the whole situation, and not the other person because you fit so well together, just like best friends are supposed to. but you start to notice all those little things about them that most people wouldn't even realize were there. it's been over a year now and i'm still in love with my best-friend, and he is with me. we didn't want to ruin our friendship, but we took the leap because isn't that we're supposed to do in this life anyway?- jump in hopes of flying..good luck in finding out for yourself (:
